One Missed Call is a 2003 Japanese horror film directed by Takashi Miike. The movie unfolds as a series of mysterious deaths occur, with each victim receiving a voicemail on their cell phone that predicts the exact time and circumstances of their death. When Yumi Nakamura (Ko Shibasaki), a young psychology student, discovers her friend's name on the list of victims, she and a detective, Hiroshi Yamashita (Shinichi Tsutsumi), must unravel the mystery behind the cursed phone calls.
