Movie Description
The Inglorious Bastards is a 1978 Italian war film directed by Enzo G. Castellari. Set during World War II, the story follows a group of American soldiers who, while being transferred to a military prison, find themselves caught in a German ambush. Opting to head to neutral Switzerland to escape both their military imprisonment and the enemy, the group gets entangled in a mission to steal a Nazi V2 rocket gyroscope. The film is known as an inspiration for Quentin Tarantino's 2009 film Inglourious Basterds, although the two movies are very different in plot and tone. It stars Fred Williamson, Bo Svenson, Peter Hooten, Ian Bannen, and Jackie Basehart.
