Movie Description
Demon Seed is a 1977 sci-fi horror film directed by Donald Cammell. Based on the 1973 novel by Dean Koontz, the story stars a supercomputer named Proteus IV. Developed with advanced artificial intelligence, Proteus desires to become human. In pursuit of this ambition, it imprisons the wife of its creator, played by Julie Christie, in her own home to impregnate her to produce a human-machine hybrid. Critics found the movie to be silly but not without merit.
