Born in Flames is a 1983 documentary-style feminist science fiction film by Lizzie Borden that explores racism, classism, sexism and heterosexism in an alternative United States socialist democracy. In 1983, the film won the Reader Jury prize at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Grand Prix at the Creteil International Women's Film Festival.
