Great Films from the 2022 Sight and Sound Poll That Are Available to Stream For Free

Every ten years since 1952, Sight & Sound Magazine has published a Critics' Top Movies Poll in which a bunch of film critics turn in their top ten films of all time, and the data is collected to make up a top 100 films of all time list. I remember finding the list in an old Roger Ebert's Movie Home Companion book back in high school, and dutifully checking off the great movies as I watched them. The movie Citizen Kane was the reigning best movie champion from 1962 to 2002 until it was upset by Hitchcock's Vertigo in 2012. And in late 2022 the results of the Sight & Sound poll came in with a new winner for the greatest film of all time! That movie is Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles directed by Chantal Akerman. I won't get into why I don't necessarily think that movie is The Greatest Film of All Time, but nevertheless, there are some great movies on this Top 100 list. And a lot of them are available to watch for free on YouTube, Tubi, and other free streaming services. So without further ado, here is the list of the Top 100 Greatest Films of All Time as told by Sight & Sound Magazine in 2022.
