Movie Description
Across the Tracks is a 1991 American sports film written and directed by Sandy Tung. The film stars Ricky Schroder and Brad Pitt as brothers Billy and Joe Maloney, two high school students with contrasting personalities living in a blue-collar town. Joe is a star runner for the school track team and a model student, while Billy, just released from reform school, struggles to leave his troubled past behind. Joe suggests to Billy to join track and field and soon the brothers are facing against each other. In 1991, Brad Pitt would also star in Thelma & Louise which led him on the path to superstardom.
