The Magnificent Seven is a classic 1960 Western film directed by John Sturges. The film is an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai, reimagined in a Western setting. The plot focuses on a Mexican village that hires seven gunfighters to protect them from a band of marauding bandits led by the ruthless Calvera (Eli Wallach).
