Hackers is a 1995 cyberpunk thriller directed by Iain Softley. The film stars Jonny Lee Miller as Dade Murphy, aka "Zero Cool" or "Crash Override," and Angelina Jolie as Kate Libby, aka "Acid Burn." After being arrested for creating a devastating computer virus, Dade is forbidden from using a computer until his 18th birthday. However, he eventually gets drawn back into the world of hacking, where he meets a group of skilled hackers. They find themselves targeted by an unethical security officer who tries to pin them for his criminal activities. Together, they must use their hacking skills to uncover the conspiracy and clear their names. The film has since gained a cult following for its depiction of the emerging Internet culture of the 1990s. It has an incredible soundtrack featuring the electronic music of Orbital, Underworld, The Prodigy, and more.
