Charles Boyer

Charles Boyer was a French-American actor whose suave, continental charm and brooding presence made him a popular actor during Hollywood's Golden Age. Boyer made his name on the Parisian stage and also appeared in numerous French silent films. He made his way to Hollywood in the 1930s, acting in romance films like The Garden of Allah (1936), Algiers (1938), and Love Affair (1939). Boyer continued to work in films and television throughout the 1950s and 60s, but his star power began to wane in his later years. He died by suicide in 1978 at the age of 78. Throughout his long career, he appeared in over 80 films between 1920 and 1976. A number of his films are in the public domain or otherwise available for free online, and we've collected them here.
