Nostalghia is a 1983 Italian-Soviet drama film directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, one of cinema's most acclaimed directors. The movie was shot in Italy, and was Tarkovsky's first film made out of the Soviet Union. The film delves into the story of Andrei Gorchakov (Oleg Yankovsky), a Russian poet who travels to Italy to research the life of a Russian composer.
